Diatomaceous Earth (often referred to as "DE") is an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical insecticides.
The off white talc-like powder is the fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton. When sprinkled on a bug that has an exoskeleton (such as bed bugs, ants or fleas) it wears away their waxy outer shell causing dehydration.
Diatomaceous Earth for pets is a mechanical flea killer. Fleas cannot become immune to its action. Fleas die within 48 hours after coming in contact with the powder.
For Diatomaceous earth to work must be kept dry, even morning dew can make it ineffective.
!!NEVER USE POOL FILTER GRADE DE !!! It is toxic and harmful to animals.
Use DE to fight ants, bed bugs, fleas, aphids, worms, etc.
